| Horticulture has been a Clint
family passion for three generations. |
 |
| Grandparents Katherine & Morris
Clint had an avid interest in gardening and photography.
They made numerous trips to remote areas in Mexico
searching for orchids, bromeliads and ephemeral
rainlillies among other plants. Both received the
honor of having lilies named after them by collector
and hybridizer Dr Thad Howard - Zephyranthes
morrisclintii and Zephyranthes katherinae. |
 |
| Parents Morris and Amanda Clint
are also plant and nature lovers. They own Palm
Gardens Nursery in Brownsville, Texas that they
started in 1953. Their family home was right across
the street from the business, and their son Chip
literally grew up in the nursery’s backyard. |
 |
| Third-generation horticulturalist,
Chip Clint, continues to keep the family passion
alive. He started Clint Horticulture back in
1994. Chip hopes to add another page to the family
history book with wildscape design - a garden design
which encourages the harmony of insects, birds and
other garden wildlife. |
